Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor, investigative report and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to joining Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
